I was thinking of posting an angry diatribe directed at the microbiology department last night after giving up on studying, but i got lazy and ended up playing some com game. And now that the bloody finals are finally over, it'd be quite out of point to post it now. Oh well.

Had a dream last night about (i swear i'm not making this up) harry otter, his centaur parents (!?!!?), neville, ron, and sky pirates in their flying ship led by er some woman. I couldn't tell if harry's parents were dead or not, though. Oh and I also dreamt that facebook had a tab that said pr0n on it. I promise you i didn't see what was in it. All in all i'd say it was a pretty interesting dream, and i'd have gotten to see how they blew up the sky pirates too except that my alarm rang at 6am cause i had to be at kallang at 8 for some kayaking proficiency star thing so we can legally compete for BBAQ this saturday.

Btw I wrote all the above on my phone on the train ride to Kallang. And agh it's 11 now and my legs are cramping from frisbee at night and we've got to go for kayaking again tomorrow so I'm back to my non-garrulous self.

Penang has such neat coffeeshops. They're old. They have a history. Every wall tells a story, every detail a.. well a something. Anyway they're a whole lot cooler than the damn Kopitiam clone army back home. There's something to be said for modernisation, but this isn't it. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera cause I didn't feel up to the challenge, but everywhere I looked I saw great photos - here an old woman frying kuayteow, there the.. I can't describe it. I kind of regret not bringing it now, but somehow I don't feel so comfortable poking my lens into other people's lives. It's not like I have a right to do so. I mean, maybe if I was a reporter or a photojournalist or something, then I'd have an excuse to be nosy and go talk to them, but as it is I'm afraid all they'd see is a strange guy trying to photograph them and at the same time not be noticed.

But enough of that. On a more interesting note, I'd like to announce that I can now say with complete honesty that I have
1. stuck my head out of a sun roof and made faces at random motorists
2. hollered and waved on top of the house, just in case it floods and we need rescuing

hmm tired tired. had meddy pickup yesterday, which was great btw, and muddygrass ultimate training at west coast this morning. no mud though. my throws suck now! which is the predictable result of being injured for six weeks. anyway i shall now go pig out on islandcreamery reverso, read some isaac asimov and hope my legs don't fall off from aching.

last sunday i went to a friend's church, chapel of the resurrection. (whoops. for some reason i thought afterwards it was covenant evangelical free church. my bad) anyway, it was really good, to say the least. and this time i've even got something tangible out of it: i'm rejoining the BB! i guess God's put me up to it.. but i just hope he knows what i'm getting myself into, cause i sure don't haha.

serious things aside, have some art! there's just something about lecture theatres that sparks the creative germ. sometimes. figuratively speaking.

wow it's been ages since i last updated. anyway there hasnt been much to say. school's the same. though i can drive alone now! yay.

but what i really want to say now is that MUDDY ROCKS!!! you guys are the best. :D singapore opens was such a good time on the whole, though of course there were some sucky moments, but the good parts more than made up for them. also, i have discovered the joy of laying out! it feels so good, i want to do it all the time. haha

and now: A Disjointed Account

ok i went with my family to switzerland first
lots of postcard scenery there
after that i went by myself to go meet my friends in rome
i almost couldnt find marc cause his hp screwed up haha
so i spent an hour and a half wandering around the huge train station in rome before i finally found him by chance
haha
we stayed in rome for 5 days
it was super freaking hot there
vatican was quite interesting cause they had like billions of sculptures and stuff
really ostentatious

mm then after rome was florence, just a day trip
i liked it cause there were a lot of nice narrow streets haha
and not so many tourists

after florence we went to venice for 2 days
which was full of tourists -.-
and i spent 12 euros doing laundry
cause i wasted 4 euros starting the wrong dryer
but its really funny watching your clothes go round and round.
anyway in italy we had lots of gelato of course

then was vienna, which was my favourite i think
mostly cause of the weather and the parks
i went to one to sketch; the scans are still on my com
of course there were lots of castles and stuff, but they weren't so interesting,
but tatt will beg to differ

we also went on a daytrip to bratislava, which was pretty cool.
that's in slovakia - nice smallish town, even though it's the capital.
vienna was like 4 days, then we took the sleeper to munich.

munich itself wasn't so interesting, except that all the old looking buildings weren't really old cause the city got blown up during ww2 so everything's reconstructed
anyway in munich we went to dachau and berteschgaden, where hitler's bunker and eagle's nest was
but it rained both times, so we didnt go up to the eagle's nest
the view is supposed to be nice there
so that was munich or so.

last stop was paris for 5 days
we met up with zhi and paul there
zhi was like our translator haha
so he took us to like nice frenchy places to eat and stuff
and nice parks too

so yeah that's about it

europe was a hell of a good time, to be sure. unfortunately for all of you, i'm lazy/lousy at being descriptive here. so instead pleaseplease pester me to upload photos or else i will never get started on sorting through my ten billion noobshots.

it's really good to be home though. i got kinda homesick around the first week or so, but i got over it. still i'm glad to be back. pramit if you read this is sc2 outing still on?

oh and just for the record i was NOT drunk that night, no matter what si paul lock says. monkey backside slap your face!

k i didn't get much sleep on the plane no thanks to lousy middle row economy class seats. at least it was sq so i got to watch 300 which was really cool and pan's labyrinth which was really sad. scool. cad. coad. ok whatever time to crash.

i'm back from malaysia for the third time in as many weeks. and as usual i have nothing much to say, except that i've got a multiply site where you'll find pictures of where i've been and such. go take a look - they probably say more than i do. unfortunately i don't have munus pics up yet cause i need to get them from jonk first.

ultimate's been quite fun. went for training yesterday, which was a good change from lazing around at home. but maybe i should give my ankle a bit more rest before i start chionging again. haha. oh and i finally got boots! like, check out my studs, man.

my family went to chiangmai over the CNY weekend. so of course, photos!

I think Thailand is a very sad place, at least for me. There's so much poverty, and only 10% of the country is Christian (no offense, but I think it's plenty reason to be sorrowful). And I've never liked the tourism industry. Fine, it brings in money and stuff, but to me it's a big wayang. Like how the longneck tribe people (you know, the women with metal rings on their necks) have to sit around in like traditional dress or whatever and pose for pictures while great big hordes of tourists come in scores of tour buses and gawk and point and comment. And it's sad because it's so demeaning and also because they probably don't have anything else to do that will earn them a living. There isn't much of education in those parts, I'm told, and the men are mostly all away in the next country or somewhere trying to make money or something.

I've got more photos on deviantart, and I'll upload somemore the next few days or so. Tiring work, uploading is.

Today I decided to take a break from studying (seriously people. try it! it's good for you), so I went cycling along the big canal near my house (sunset way, if you dunno). and turns out it's quite cool. whoo man am I bad at describing things.

so thursday was going-out with pramit and choo. went shopping at queensway (which turned out to be rather fruitless heh), then had dinner at ikea. mmm meatballs. yeah dinner was great. we talked a lot of cock like always, which surprisingly was really nice for a change heh. i feel very comfortable around them, like you don't have to worry about looking good or whatever and you know you can just say whatever you feel like saying and they won't look at you like you just turned purple or something.

busy busy week, has it been. funny how i don't seem to be doing very many things, yet time just passes like that. like today, i just got back from navigator meeting, which by the way was very good, but i don't feel like talking about it right now.

anyway had classes in the morning until 2, and at anat prac today i realised that even my shirt smells of formalin after i come out of the anat hall which is rather disgusting. umm after that went with the scones to cheese prata shop to have lunch with gan cause he's got off today which is quite an achievement in itself cause he's in OCS. i tried milo dinosaur for the first time today! i must say bandungcinno is nicer imo but then again i never really liked milo

so after that it was around 3 or so and nav rally only started at 6, so i followed the scones to medlibrary cause they also had nothing to do until around 6 too. we tried studying for a while, but eventually everyone gave up:
